Where it all began.

It all started in 2018 with a few families gathering in each other’s homes, sharing a weekly meal and praying together. From 2019 to 2021, we worshipped under the supervision and care of All Saints Anglican in Holland as a parish in formation. In January 2021, Christ Church Anglican - GR was officially planted as a mission of the Anglican Diocese of the Great Lakes after receiving ordinations and affirmation from the diocese. Since then, we have met in three different locations, weathered loosing our gathering space to a fire, meeting in parks, and more.

Although many of us come from different backgrounds, some evangelical, others charismatic and some catholic, we all have found Christ Church to be a soft landing place and a home to grow into Christ likeness.

As St. Paul states, it is our aim “to know nothing except Jesus Christ and him crucified.”

Who we are.

We are affiliated with the Anglican Church in North America (ACNA) within the Diocese of the Great Lakes (ADGL). Many of us come from a wide variety of denominational and spiritual backgrounds and have experienced the Anglican way of following Jesus in our community to be healing, enriching, and invigorating for our faith. That said, if the gospel is like fine wine, then Anglicanism is just the chalice that helps bring out the distinctive notes. You don’t have to be all-in on Anglicanism to belong at our church. It is not the only way to follow Jesus, but it is a beautiful way.
